Abstract

On the Scroll blockchain, we define a system that enables minimal friction peer-to-peer exchange of ETH tokens. The protocol aims to promote interoperability across decentralized applications (dApps) that include exchange functionality by acting as an open standard and common building element. A system of Scroll smart contracts that is open to the public, free to use, and available for any dApp to hook into executes trades. DApps created on top of the protocol can use open liquidity pools or build their own, charging transaction fees based on the volume generated. The protocol is neutral; it doesn't charge its users or arbitrarily take value from one user group to benefit another. Without interfering with dApps or end users, decentralized governance is utilized to securely and consistently integrate upgrades into the basic protocol.

Overview

Swap is an exclusive Decentralized Exchange (DEX) and staking platform where users can supply liquidity to the DEX, trade all sorts of assets in a decentralized manner, and receive rewards for doing so. In order to enable proper money markets to operate and to provide a safe positive-yield approach to the liquidity offered by platform members, the platform is designed without the defects of existing ways.
