⛓️GrokSwap Chain

An optimistic rollup built on Scroll called GROK Chain is intended to act as a sovereign execution environment for cross-chain use cases. By utilizing GrokSwap's cross-chain messaging infrastructure, GROK Chain will provide developers with a generalized smart contract interface for creating native cross-chain use cases. Applications created with GROK Chain will have the ability to run their business logic on any blockchain.

The core contributing team's experiences working with teams developing cross-chain applications provided the inspiration for creating a sovereign chain to support cross-chain messaging. These experiences revealed that cross-chain business logic is much more effective when hosted on a single execution environment and that managing deployment and state across chains is greatly simplified by a programming environment tailored for use cases built on top of the messaging system. Users are now able to interact with state in an atomic way, despite the fact that it has been implemented on many blockchains. Complex business logic shouldn't, in general, be dispersed across ten different blockchains.

Similar to this, multi-chain state that is implemented on a single blockchain enables developers to create an entire set of new primitives. These primitives can then be utilized as the foundation for entirely new user interfaces and software programs that are better suited to our multi-chain environment. GROK Chain will be used to hold the attestations issued by GrokSwap's security system on the legitimacy of cross-chain transactions, which is another innovative feature. Most alternative messaging systems require more contracts to be updated in order to keep track of every message as the number of connected chains increases.

With GROK Chain, only one chain needs to be updated for each valid cross-chain transaction, reducing the complexity of smart contracts and eventually lowering the system's gas costs. All historical attestations of the system's cross-chain transactions are made public via Scroll because GROK Chain is a rollup that settles back to Scroll.
